Choose a widget layout
Compare the four widget layouts, Wall of Love, Carousel, Single quote and Rating badge, then set the colours, fonts and filters before you embed one.
On this page
A widget shows your approved testimonials on your website. You can have several, each with its own layout and settings.
Create a widget
- Open your Space, then the Widgets tab.
- Click New widget.
- Name it, choose a layout and click Create.
The four layouts
- Wall of Love: a masonry grid of testimonials. Best for a dedicated page.
- Carousel: a row that slides sideways. Good under a call to action.
- Single quote: one large quote. Good under a headline. Pick which testimonial it shows in Featured testimonial.
- Rating badge: a small line such as "4.9 from 37 customers". Good next to a button or in the header.
Switching layouts keeps your other settings.
Settings
- Theme: Light, Dark or Auto, which follows the visitor's system.
- Brand colour: your Space's colour, or a different one.
- Font: inherit from your site, or use System, Serif or Rounded.
- Show avatar, date, source and rating: switch each on or off.
- Favourites first and Featured testimonial: control the order.
- Only show tags: limit the widget to certain tags. See Tags and favourites.
- Max items: how many to show, from 1 to 100.
- Add review schema: adds structured data to the page. See Review schema explained.
Preview
The preview on the right uses the same code as your live site. Switch between desktop and mobile, and between a light and dark page.
Save and embed
Click Save, then Get code. Changes reach live sites within about a minute, and you don't need to paste the code again. Follow the guide for your builder: HTML, Webflow, Framer, WordPress, Next.js or Dorik.
Branding
On Free and Starter, a small "Powered by HappySaid" link shows under the widget. Pro removes it. See Plans and limits.
