Checks

  • CheckReviews must also be visible as text on the page where you add this code.
  • CheckOne or two reviews is valid, but rich results are more likely with more.

Adding this code doesn't guarantee stars in search. Google decides whether to show star ratings.

HappySaid keeps this code in sync with your approved testimonials automatically.

How to use the review schema generator

  1. Choose what is being reviewed: a product, or a software application. Software also needs a price, a currency and a category, because Google expects an offer for software.
  2. Enter the name and the address of the page where the reviews appear, plus a brand and an image if you have them.
  3. Add up to 20 reviews with an author, a rating, a date and the text, or paste them in as CSV.
  4. Tick the boxes if any reviews are about your own company or were copied from other sites, and read the checks under the code.
  5. Copy the code into the page's HTML, then test the page with Google's Rich Results Test.

Questions

Will this markup show star ratings in Google?

No tool can promise that. Google decides whether to show review snippets. Valid markup that follows its rules makes a page eligible, and nothing more.

Which reviews can I mark up?

Reviews you collected yourself, about a product or a piece of software, that are also visible as text on the same page. Reviews a business publishes about itself as a LocalBusiness or Organization are not eligible for review snippets.

Can I include quotes from G2, X or other sites?

Leave them out of the markup. Google's rules cover reviews you collected yourself. You can still show labelled quotes from other sites on the page.

Should I use Product or SoftwareApplication?

Use Software application for an app or a SaaS product. It needs a price, a currency and a category. Use Product for anything else.

Is anything I enter sent to HappySaid?

No. The code is generated in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded.
