Import a post from X or LinkedIn
Save a kind post about you on X or LinkedIn as a testimonial, with its link and author. Which links are supported, how they are tidied, and why to ask first.
On this page
Customers often say nice things in public. You can save those posts as testimonials, with a link back to the original.
Add a post
- Open your Space, then the Import tab, then From a link.
- Paste the post's address into Post URL.
- Paste the post's words into Text. HappySaid doesn't fetch the post for you, so you copy the text yourself.
- Check the name. If the link includes the author's handle, it fills in the name for you, and you can change it.
- Add the title, company, avatar URL, rating, date and tags if you have them.
- Click Import.
As you paste, a small label confirms what HappySaid recognised, for example "X post, @name" or "LinkedIn post".
Supported links
X (x.com or twitter.com) posts, LinkedIn posts and recommendations, Product Hunt, G2 and Google review links. For anything else you will see "We support X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt, G2 and Google review links." Use Add a testimonial manually instead.
Tidy links
HappySaid removes tracking parameters from the link before saving it.
Ask first
A public post is not permission to use it in your marketing. Message the author and ask if you can show it on your site. See our post on turning Product Hunt comments into testimonials, which applies to any public post.
Where it shows
Imported posts show their source in the inbox and in widgets, if you keep Show source on. They aren't included in your proof page's review markup. See Review schema explained.
