Held testimonials over the limit

The Free plan holds up to 15 testimonials. When you are over that, new ones aren't lost. They are held safely until you make room or upgrade.

What happens to the customer

Nothing changes for them. They submit a testimonial and see your normal thank-you page.

What happens to you

• The testimonial is stored with the status Over limit, in its own tab in your inbox.
• You get an email: "New testimonial for [Space]: upgrade to see it". It doesn't include the text, the author or the rating.
• The inbox shows a banner: "3 new testimonials are held because you're over the Free plan's 15. Upgrade to see them."
• The held card shows only its first line, blurred.

What keeps working

Your existing widgets, collection page and proof page keep working. Nothing already approved is hidden because of held testimonials.

Release held testimonials

You have two ways:

1. Upgrade. Held testimonials become Pending after you upgrade, oldest first. On a paid plan, all of them are released. See Upgrade, downgrade or cancel.
2. Make room. Delete a testimonial you don't need (archived testimonials still count towards the limit), then click Move to pending on a held one. It works while your plan has capacity. Otherwise, you will see a message that you're over your plan's limit.

You can also delete held testimonials.

Imports follow the same rule

Testimonials you import after reaching the limit are held too. The import preview tells you how many will be held. See Import from a CSV file.
