Export your data

You can take everything with you at any time. Export is free on every plan, including Free.

Request an export

1. Open Privacy and data from the account menu in the sidebar.
2. Under Export your data, choose Request export.
3. The new row says Preparing…. It updates by itself; you can leave the page. We email you when it is ready.
4. When the row says Ready, choose Download.

You can request one export every 24 hours. If you try sooner, the page tells you when you can ask again. The download link works for 7 days. After that the row says Expired and the file is gone, but you can request a new one.

What is in the ZIP

The file is named happysaid-export with today's date.

• README.txt explains each file and how to import it again.
• account.json has your profile, plan and when you accepted the DPA.
• spaces.json has each Space and its form settings.
• testimonials.json has every testimonial with all its fields, including the original text, consent and the private email address if the person gave one.
• testimonials.csv has the same rows. The first 8 columns match the CSV template on the Import tab, so you can import the file into another Space.
• widgets.json has your widget settings.
• analytics_daily.csv has daily counts for the last 90 days.
• removal_requests.json has requests to remove testimonials and what happened.
• files has your logos and the photos that were uploaded to HappySaid.

Photos that people linked from elsewhere are not copied. The CSV keeps their original links.

If something goes wrong

• Failed. Try again. means we could not build the file. Request a new export.
• Exports aren't available right now. means exports are switched off on this server. Try again later or write to support@happysaid.com.
