Remove a testimonial you gave

If you gave a testimonial through a HappySaid form and want it removed, you can ask. You do not need an account.

Use your private link

After you send a testimonial, the thank-you page shows a Remove my testimonial link. If you gave your email address, we also emailed you a receipt with the same link. It is private to you, so save it.

1. Open the link. You see the testimonial and the business it was for.
2. Enter your email address. Add a note if you like.
3. Tick Also delete it permanently, not just hide it if you want it deleted and not only hidden.
4. Choose Send removal request.

No link? Use the form

Go to happysaid.com/remove. Paste the link to the page where you gave the testimonial, add your name and your email, and send the request.

Confirm your email

We send a link to the address you entered, and it works for 24 hours. Open it to confirm the request. Until you do, nothing happens. This page never says whether a testimonial was found, so nobody can use the form to look people up. After you confirm, the page and our email tell you whether we matched it to a testimonial.

What happens next

• If the request came from your private link, or the email matches the one on the testimonial, we ask the business to remove it. They have 14 days. If they do not respond, we hide it for you automatically.
• If we cannot match it, we pass it to the business and to our team, who look at it by hand. We never hide a testimonial automatically on a weak match.
• If you ticked the permanent deletion box, the testimonial is archived first and deleted 30 days after you confirm. The 30 days apply only once it has been archived: if the business deletes it sooner, it is gone sooner.
• The business can archive it, delete it, or keep it and tell you why. When we are sure the request is yours (your private link, or the email matches), they cannot keep a testimonial you gave through their own form once you have withdrawn your consent. When we are not sure, they can keep it and tell you why.
• We email you when it is handled, and keep a record of the request for 3 years. The record has your email only as a hash after 30 days.
