llms.txt for AI assistants

Each HappySaid proof page has a plain-text version for AI assistants at /p/your-space/llms.txt. What is in it, who can read it, and what it can and can't do.

On this page

llms.txt is a plain-text file written for language models. It is a convention that some tools use, not a standard every assistant follows. HappySaid publishes one for each proof page, because it costs nothing and is easy to read.

Where it is

Add /llms.txt to your proof page address:

text
https://happysaid.com/p/your-space/llms.txt

A link to it is in the footer of your proof page, labelled "Plain-text version for AI assistants".

What's in it

A Markdown file with:

  • Your Space's name and a short summary.
  • Your website, the proof page address and the average rating.
  • The number of testimonials and when the file was last updated.
  • One block per testimonial: the author's name, title and company, the rating and date, where it came from, and the quote.

It has the same testimonials as your proof page, in the same order, up to 200. Emails are never included.

Who can read it

The Allow AI assistants to read this page switch in your Space's Proof page settings controls this. When it's on, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended are allowed to read the page and the file. When it's off, our robots file asks them not to.

A robots file is a request, not a lock. Well-behaved crawlers follow it.

Does it help?

It makes your testimonials easy to read in one place. We can't promise that any assistant will use it, or mention you. What you control is that the evidence is there, in a clear form.

Our free AI-readability check fetches any page without running JavaScript and tells you what a crawler would find.
